Leadership at Mendham UMC

I studied for my M.Div. from Methodist Theological School in South Korea and came to Dallas to continue my studies. I studied Masters of Church Ministries at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. After that, I moved to New Jersey and have been serving in ministry here. I have been serving Mendham Church since July 2023. God has blessed me with a loving spouse, Jooree Kim, and two sons, Moses and Phillip.

Ministry Goals
I have three primary goals:

• Worship
To lead inspiring worship.
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him” (John 4:23, NRSV).

• Spiritual Growth
To plant the seed of the Word in hearts, so it may grow and bear fruit.
“But as for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty” (Matthew 13:23, NRSV).

• Fruits of Faith, Hope, and Love
To manifest faith in daily life.
“Remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 1:3, NRSV).

I started played piano at the age of 5 and have played handbells since 1986, including solo ringing. Music is a large part of my life and I love sharing it! I have a BS in Mathematics, an MBA in Public Accounting, and I am a CPA.
